Cutting sleepers

Looking to get some of these sleepers to make a border/raised bed.

I'll also need to pick up some kind of saw. My first thought was a circular saw, but wondered whether cutting it by hand and not machine is do able?

Don't think I can trust myself with one.

Besides, the wife will flat out refuse to have one anywhere near the house.

My plan was to do one side, then flip it over and do other side.

Looks good macca. Well I'm slowing warming to the chainsaw idea. What are the electrical ones like? I'll check the alligator saw too, but as I'll be looking to buy rather than hire.

Thanks Mark, think I'll try cutting it by hand first and if that doesn't work out I'll get something a bit more powerful.

Bought the sleepers (minus any power tools for the time being) after work yesterday so will have a go at cutting it by hand first at the weekend.
