I read elsewwhere also that the security guards had noted in their book everything was fine in the morning when the place had burned down, essentially if they had not been skiving it could have been put out.

they should be sacked.

I think the article says they were using the vacuum as a dust extractor, hence the reason why they may have left it on continuously! Idiots.
