When we bought the Yaris, it had a slight CV joint click on sharp turning.

(It was bought on about 19k, as an old granny had it before hand and barely used it. It's had about 12k put on it in under a year since.)

We replaced both CV joints shortly after getting it and within 12 months, they both seem to have gone again. Upon reading online, the drop links are a very weak part on the Yaris and the bushes perish quickly.

My question is, could worn drop links & ARB bushes put strain on a CV joint and cause it to fail?

Here's the ones we replaced!

Not sure weather to buy complete new drive shafts or just do the CV joints and hope that solves the issue.

Since fitting these new drop links and ARB bushes, the noise sounds a lot healthier, but there's still some CV joint clicking going on when you turn

I know, it is shocking, my mechanic was laughing at the state of them. We do live near the sea, and the car has always been near the sea, but still! It seems to be the weakest point of the car according to forums etc

Well I called Toyota and they quoted £321.43 + vat for the left CV joint and £235 + vat for the right.

No idea how they have those prices :D
