I am currently getting my CV in order and I have a quick question.

After I left my last job I went travelling around Australia for just over 6 months. Before going I spent around 3 months getting money together, organsing stuff etc and then when I got back it was 3 or 4 weeks before I got work again. So in total I am looking at around a year gap in my employment history. How do I address this on my CV? Do I just leave the gap and if they ask what I did for that year tell them I went travelling, or do I put a bit on my CV about travelling to fill this gap?

Thanks for any help.

Something about expanding your horizons and experience, seeing how others lived, what was constructive about your travel? Did you do anything out there that would impress an employer? Did you learn anything useful?

Should I include that in the middle of my employment history, i.e between job before going and job now (to explain gap) or put it in somewhere else?
