The way I came up with my layout. Go on a design website, or forum full of freelancers (for example: www.designerstalk.com) look at members portfolios and download their cvs and adapt to suit. You'll find elements you like and elements you don't.
Thus resulting in your own cv with your personalisation, but juiced up a bit thanks to using elements by a designer. Do not steal though.
