Been given a summer assignment and which is to setup a network for a small online shopping company.

one of the requirements is atleast 50% redundancy ( network points ) in every room. And im completely puzzled by this statement anyone shed any light please. DANKE

Isn't it just that if a room needs 10 sockets you need another 5 spare incase any of the primary 10 fail?
