CX550

I thought we did psu's in one of your other threads which turned into a argument on why it's important not to skimp on the psu?

The newer white label CX units are better than the old green label ones but I still wouldn't want one. The CX550 is £58 on here and for a extra £9 you can get the new gold rated Bitfenix Formula 550w which is a much better psu. For a extra £12 over the CX you can get the fully modular and gold rated Superflower Leadex Gold 550w. I would take either of those two anyday over a CX series.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £148.00 (includes shipping: £11.10)

I've got the CX750 as a backup, it's the green model that I powered my rig with for about 3 weeks while I got the PSU RMA'ed, it did the job but not something I'd want to use all the time I mean I was probably pulling 400w maximum and just doing that it had tonnes of coil whine, if you already have the PSU and only spend £400 on the whole rig I'd keep it although only if you were pulling max of 350w.
