cyanogenMod 7.1 is out

I think I am going back to the stock rom now that the sixaxis app works on there. CM7.1 is nice but this weekend when playing back video files I did get some crashes.

Stock rom also had slightly better battery life for me so with the sixaxis support on there I think it's time to switch back. :)

bit of a hassle for me this afternoon trying to install it on my daughters SF. i forgot to update gen1 to gen 2 and cyanogen7.1 bootlooped on reboot. then i couldn't find a miscrosd to sd adapter to load the gen2 update onto. once i found one it took a while to twig i needed to copy the whole 'image' folder onto the sd card root in order for the bootloader to update gen1 to gen2. finally cm7.1 installed ok and it's working well :)

That's because of CM7's dodgy as hell kernel. I use Sayih kernels over the CM7 ones to avoid that issue amongst others and get a big boost in performance and battery life.

Also allows underclocking to 100MHz and bln support (allows menu and back buttons to flash when I get notifications/missed calls etc).

The main reason I stick with CM7 is it seems to absolutely spank the stock ROM for battery life.

got it installed on two of my devices at the moment a desire on which it runs sweet and a sgs which is abit slow tbh

all in all its a good rom have got the ICS adw skin and it looks cool
