What is the music they place in Cyberdog? Rave, hard trance?

Next question; can you recommend a good compilation album to get me started?

Its a mix of Hardhouse, Hard Trance and some Hardstyle I think. Although its been a LONG time since I've listened to it! I think any Cyberdog CD is a good place to start if you can find them. Although I find the mixing a little to robotic if you know what I mean

Can't say I've heard psy/goa at Cyberdog before, mainly hard house and hard trance.

Ah well I imagine it would be Ebm/Industrial stuff, I go to a festival where a large number of people where Cyberdog and that's the sort of stuff that is played.

If you want compilation ideas then try the Critical Mass compilations. If you want artist ideas then the likes of Combichrist, Reaper, Rotersand, Covenant, Project Pitchfork, VNV Nation, Front 242 are all very good.

It's EBM/Indusdtrial, just as Shamikebab said. Not sure about 'compilations' [it's not trance] but I'd recommend VNV Nation - Empires, Frontline Assembly - Implode and Covenant - Northern Light to get started.

I severely second those 3 recommendations, although the new Rotersand Album (Random Is Resistance) is fantastic.

Well of course, it's a clothing store. You may as well check out some of the albums Shami and I spoke of though.

I'm pretty sure they don't actually make music :/ They are a clothing company. They do the odd compilation for example here but I couldn't tell you what was on it or if it was very good. You're better off just trying some of our recommendations and seeing what you like. I'm a big fan of this type of music so I can always give you more recommendations. In fact I've been meaning to start a thread on it for a while to see if others like it.

Cyberdog used to be a Nightclub that had a computer program that mixed tunes throughout the night, this was going back 20 years ago though so before I was clubbing. Least thats what my friend who used to live here says
