I have owned Cyberpunk from release I played for about an hour then decided to wait till the game gets patched up and fixed before I start again. Now the game is in its 'final form'. Simply put do I just play the 2.0 expansion or should I purchase the DLC before I start to get the full experience?

I'd say get Phantom Liberty now - the missions become available at a logical point in the Cyberpunk 2077 storyline and you'll be getting the 'complete' experience.

Having put a lot of hours into CP pre-2.0, I'm quite envious of you! :)

Well if your starting from scratch you can do either and it will be seamless.

If you plan to play the dlc I buy it and just start playing.

The dlc is essentially just a new district with more missions and some of the new missions have you leaving Dogtown anyway and going back to Night City so there is no harm in purchasing it now or after.

It's what ever you want.

2.0 (now 2.01) is a major free update to the base game. You have it now, provided you install, or update. The expansion is paid content, sounds pretty good.

I know this is a slightly different question, but for those of us who've been hanging on until the feature set is a bit more complete, do you think now is the time to jump in?

I'm not asking in a "does it suck" capacity, because I know that's been done to death, more in a "is there a new feature that we think is coming that's worth waiting for" way.

pretty sure the game is finished now, no more major expansions. There will most likely be a few bug fix patches then that's it really

I'd say they are happy with the game but may still add new technology updates.

Looks like they are switching to Unreal Engine 5 for the new Witcher so maybe even less likely they will continue to develop the game.

If you're on a 40xx card yea, anything from 30xx or below it still runs like absolute dog ****. I'm on a 3090 and at 4k even with DLSS on performance, unless running at medium/low settings, you can kiss 60fps goodbye.
Hmm that's not great news. I'm also on a 3090 which usually handles whatever is thrown its way
