Not played Cyberpunk before but decided to get a cheap GOG key and pay the Luke Ross subscription for his REAL VR mod.
If you’ve got the PC to run it it’s unbelievably good IMO. Yes there’s a bit of shimmering around some of the graphics but the atmosphere and immersion is so good. Happy with joypad controls coz I just like to relax playing games.
It’s modders like Praydog, Luke Ross, and Dr Beef that keep the VR dream alive. Take a top pancake game and put you right in there.
Welcome to hear any tips on tuning visual appearance

What gpu have u got? With a 4090 i max out the games resolution, have game graphics options mostly on medium (apart from screen space reflections, that's on low), ray tracing off, dlss on (experiment with the level ie performance or quality), i have the mods ppd slider set to atleast 30 ppd. It looks fantastic, as u say there is some shimmering around npc's etc though.

Yes 4090. Have AER set to 1/2. All settings at medium. Raytracing off. Not changed resolution so assume default max res for my G2.
Not checked out the ppd slider you mention. DLSS set to quality. AMD FSR off. Runs totally smooth stutter free but RT on at all will give me bad frames

It’s the car journeys with NPCs that give such WOW experience. I’m looking around and out the window of the car while someone else is driving I’m not paying attention to what is being said !
Also just open mouthed in astonishment while walking around soaking up everything that’s going on in Night City

i have AER set to 1/3. try changing the res in game to max or near it and mess with the mod ppd slider (u have to click iirc "apply resolution" next to the ppd slider to make the changes), it looks stunning, probably the best graphics i've seen in vr).

Thanks so much tyke. Upping the resolution to 30 I had to drop a couple of settings to low but it was night and day difference. Massive improvement in visuals and looks crisp with DLSS set to performance. Now I just need to get a 5090Ti so I can turn on all the raytracing too :)

Has anyone tried this with a 7900 xtx and is it any good?
Just dropped 2 grand and want to know if buying a headset will result in amazing performance as everyone seems to have 4090s

That gpu is pretty good but not as good as a 4090 so you won't quite be able to run at the settings mentioned in this thread, i bet it'll still be visually impressive though.
afaik you won't be able to use DLSS in the game as that's for nvidia gpu's but i think you can use FSR for upscaling.
note the game is not a native vr game and has shortcomings but it's still a good experience.
