*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Well the 2080 Ti is still King.

I somewhat doubt AMD has anything to beat it this year.

Would love to be proved wrong.

Agreed, everytime I look at my GPU and want to upgrade, there really isn't anything worth considering above the 2080 ti, I've even toyed with getting a second one. But I just have to wait until the new generation ships :(

Utterly gutted by the delay.

My interest in gaming has depleted somewhat over the last couple of years and this was the only game keeping me hanging on in.

I have zero interest in any upcoming games except for maybe Doom Eternal but a relatively short and quick FPS isn’t going to cut it until September. September!!!

I don't like delays but I'm working through a list of games as it is. Just finished Borderlands 3 & Mech Warriors 5. Next up I've got Rebel Outlaw Galaxy, Phoenix Point & Satrsector (beta) to start playing through!

I'm somewhat glad it's delayed, in the sense they're not going to cram-rush for release and give us a mess like others may do. I would prefer to wait for a finished game.

Lol. You would have found out earlier if you was following this thread. We have been talking about it since yesterday.

I mean if only you looked at the last post before you posted the guy says he is gutted for the delay :p
correct, I was previously following this thread and saw 55 pages so couldn't be bothered to read through them. I did see the previous post but didn't understand it as had not read the other ones. I went to a show in London in the autumn and was gutted not to get into the cyberpunk theatre. will read this thread now I know it exists.

I don't mind the delay, whatever it takes for the game to launch in a state that CDPR are happy with.

It also gives me time to hopefully get a new GPU before then too :D

I would not bother reading previous posts, but worth following the thread going forward. I have it set on watch so I get an alert when someone posts. I found out about the delay here.

Because there are quite a few games I am interested in this year this blow is not as bad as it would have been. Let them release it once they think it is ready. If they release with bugs it will not review as well and there will be a lot of negativity online.

I have got too many games that I haven't played yet. - but I still buy them and have multiple xbox game pass for pc subscription codes from buying AMD stuff. However still looking forward to the game. the dev's said that it was complete and working - they quote the delay to add more content (they must be adding loads more stuff to justify a 6 month delay).

I don't mind waiting for a game to be perfect when its released ! look at Rockstars release of RDR2 LOL it was a joke so nice to see they want this game to be perfect.

What sort of performance would I be getting a 1080P with a MAXQ 2070 and i7 9750? Or 2070S and 3700X @ 4k (Or potentially some sort of downscalling or DLSS to 1440P at 4K)?

I know the game isn't out so no one 100% knows, but based on what we know so far, playable? Perhaps?

I’d expect very playable at 1080p with a 2070. While I have no doubt you could turn on all the bells and whistles and the game will look amazing like many games there will be a negligible visual difference between Ultra and Very High or evening High except in lost frames. 4K will me something else entirely though.

I’m expecting 60FPS+ on my 2070S at 3440x1440p with most settings turned on/on high or very high.

I think so too.

Quality. It gives me time to complete witcher 3

My thinking as well! I just need to stop wasting as much time playing Gwent and actually get on with the story.

I'd rather have the game late than buggy, so as long as they're using the time to make it perfect it's all good.

That bodes well for the next few years then, can't see my laptop/systems struggling for a good few years.

Glad I went for a 1080p laptop rather than 3k or 4k, the difference on a 15.6" screen is negligible from a quality standpoint vs the exceptional extra performance at 1080p vs 3K.

I'm glad it is delayed, I still have a backlog of games to get through, and it does indeed clear the way for Doom Eternal which itself got delayed for polish, a growing trend it seems.
And I'm old enough that I don't really get excited for anything anymore, and also that I don't have the regard for W3 that some people do.

Whilst I'd rather a late game than a buggy one, I did just pick up a 5700 on the Asus deal in preperation for the original release date. Don't need a beefier graphics for anything else, so it was a bit of a waste now with this delay.

hey ho

yes wise move on getting 1080 for your laptop.

Any theories its been delayed not for play testing as reported but due to Nvidia delaying the release of the 3xxx series to Q3 ? ;)
