Hi, I know this question has probably been asked and answered on here but I can't find anything recent.

I want to buy a bike to ride to where I'm currently contracting, I'm the only employee of my company, can I buy a bike etc. through the Cycle to Work scheme?

Debating getting one today so want to know if I can use my company credit card.

Have seen a few things saying there's absolutely no problem, and a few others that say it's not eligible for self employed people, which I know is technically not true but that's often used as an umbrella term.

Thanks

Well I found this quote.

If you’re self-employed, you can make use of the scheme if you’re set up in a way which means you’re technically employed by your own limited company.

I'm not sure how you wouldn't be employed by your own limited company if you set one up.

Why not just try and sign up on the website and see what happens.

C2W will only work if your company has registered for it, so as it's your company go through looking at what's required to get registered for it.

Take a look at the Green Commute Initiative - they don't have a limit on the scheme so you can go nuts with your bike purchase :)
