Cyclic redundancy error ??

Just got a new system and when trying to copy some images from a disc to my new system I get a "Cyclic redundancy Error"

Is this the disc at fault Data corrupted or is it my System ???? I have windows XP Media

Any help with this would be much appreciated

Ahh sorry forgot to mention a CD-R

Normally happen when cd is scratched or if deterioration has occurred in the data layer. Try roadkil's unstoppable copier.

as said the disk is probably knackered has happened me with old cheapo brand cdrs

look for scratches / circle rot

AHH well that will teach me cheap CD-R Mr Data I think it is ??

Doesn't look that bad but it does have a couple of scratches I think...I will have to wipe the coffee stains of to tell for sure though

Sounds like cyclic coffee stain error to me

Loads of my old CDs are like that now. Unfortunate fact is the dye doesn't hold its image forever and some cheap discs only last a few months.
