specialized body geomery gloves are very good, both summer and winter variaties. Also the lock depends on the value of your bike somewhat.I feel with most things it is worth buying well and buying once.you will grumble if your bike gets stolen, but i cant add anything to thelock question. although some do cover bikes to differing values.
I don't think you can go wrong with a Kryptonite D-lock, I've used different ones over the years and found them to be excellent. The mounting bracket is decent as well, but I don't use it as I always have a bag with me.
You have to weigh up how much your bike is worth when considering buying a lock, i.e. no matter the cost of the lock, if your bike is nicked, you're still down a bike.

I'm a big fan of the Spesh BG full-finger gloves. I have two pairs. A bit thin for really cold rides in winter but great through the summer IMHO.
