Cypress AT2 USB driver update - anybody installed?

This "Cypress" update appeared in my Windows 8.1 update screen today as an optional update - don't know what it is - has anybody installed it?

Looking on MS forums it seems to upset some USB interfaces?

If your USB devices aren't having issues just hide the update and carry on with your life.

That's what I have done - I was just curious what the update was meant to be for?
