Does anyone know if there are any D&D based games in the pipeline? I loved Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2 and am pining for some more similar action.

I've played all the expansions of the above and miss my fireball flinging sorcerer of destruction and my crazy DEX monk. :(

I assume you have either played all the old games like Temple of Elemental evil, Icewind Dale, Arcanum and Planescape or dont want old games?

If you are after newer games, you can try Drakensang, not D&D and personally i think its a bit harder to build charactors than D&D but that maybe because ive played D&D for so long. The first Drakensang is easly as good if not better than NWN.

If you can stand old graphics Avernum 1 has just been remade and is on Steam for £6. I personally love these games, they get right to the heart of gameplay. You can try the demo, which is massive. There are lots of Avernum games but number 1 (Escape from the Pit) has just been redone using the Avadon (also a very good game - on Steam too!) game engine.

Also look up Neverwinter https://register.perfectworld.com/nw_splash It'll probably be a bit more hack and slash with a refine rule set, but i have high hopes.

D&D have a FTP mmo, but i didnt play it for very long. In its own right a good game but not very good compaire to other mmo's.

Dont forget there are a ton off player made mod for nwn 1 and 2.

Thanks chaps... I was never into P&P but love D&D based PC games. I played dozens of mods for NWN1 and used to run my own server and mod at one point. :)

I never did play Icewind Dale but I'm not sure if I could handle the old graphics on a 24" screen! I'm waiting on the HD Baldur's Gate 1/2 but you never know whether that will come out on time! Thanks, Mart, I'll have a look at that mod!

Odd thing is that I can still play MUDs but I don't like old, dated blocky graphics on PC. :/

I'm with PianoBasher, Bioware dropped the ball with the Dragon Age setting, it's poor compared to D&D. Although the D&D is better in Greyhawk than in Forgotten Realms, as Forgotten Realms always tends to be high magic/high level/high power.

The Temple of Elemental Evil was fantastic, but it didn't start the Greyhawk revival that I had hoped :(

Thank you very much
