D:/ Recovery Drive Has No Windows Flag On It?

Having purchased a new PC from Dell and having no Net Connection, I had a problem with the Floppy Drive appearing - when there was no Floppy drive installed.
So, I purchased the Book: "Windows Vista Annoyances" (about £20.00) I found the solution to the floppy drive inside that Book.
However, I still have no windows flag on the D:/ Recovery Drive Has No Windows Flag On It?
I cannot find the solution in the mentioned book, So I come here to ask the wise wonderful!!

What's the problem? The recovery drive on these types of machines is never visible.

Doesnt that just mean no operating system is in use on that drive at the time? :confused:

exactly, Vista only shows the little windows flag on the drive it's installed to/running from.

Yes, I think you're right. The Windows flag only shows on the drve it runs from! Can you believe it, I don't know any other Dell computer owner to ask if the same applies to them.
