Basically it won't connect, I can't see any reason why not, the WEP Key is correct and and it can see the network, it just wont connect. The Router is listed under compatible devices on D-Link's Apple/Mac section.

This is a brand new MacMini so is the first time it's tried to connect.

Anyone got any idea's what's going on?

D-Link Firmware Version : V3.00B01T02.UK-A.20060208 if that's any help.

You haven't got a mac filter on have you? I often forget that I have only allowed computers with trusted mac addresses to negotiate with the router.

Just a hunch, but try the following:

1. Click the Airport icon (provided you are at the desktop. If you are still in the installation process, just tell it you don't have an internet connection and move along)

2. Click the name of the network you would like to connect to

3. Change the drop-down "Wireless Security" option to "WEP 40/128-bit hex," bang in your password and hit OK

I had a similar problem with my NETGEAR router, spent a good ten minutes re-entering my WEP key, scratching my head wondering why it wouldn't connect. Changed that option and it worked a treat :)
