I have never used a NAS before and was just wondering if anyone could put me straight. Would the D-Link DNS 320 be any good with 2 2TB Western Digital Green HDD?

Or could anyone recommend any other solution?

IIRC the DNS320 was a reasonable enough piece of kit. Personally I would be more intent on putting in Western Digital Reds but if it is only light home use there shouldn't be any reason not to use greens.

Don't expect blistering speeds with file transfers but it will still be enough to back up documents and stream movies from.

Can i use it for gaming? Sorry i don't have a clue and thank you in advance for the information.

With you, can you install games to it and use it as a HDD. Wouldn't advise it again due to the transfer speeds.

I'd look into swapping a drive for something bigger or a USB3 external at the very worst.
