D Link RMA?

Hi,

I have a DLink wireless N USB adapter that has just decided to die on me. After visiting D Link's UK site, they state that my adapter is covered by a two year warranty... Which is good, as I've had it a year and a month so the place I got it from isn't interested.

Question is, how do I go about starting the RMA process? I've just spent a good twenty minutes trying to find out how, but I can't. I'm probably just being stupid, but does anyone have any experience? Or help?

Thanks.

Ah, thank you very much.

The site wasn't behaving for me when I tried. Honest

Anyways, thank you very much :D

Going to RMA my DIR-655 from what I have heard there support is in India so will find out soon enough.

Finally got around to doing an RMA. So far a horrific process. They take your details on the phone then you wait 4 days for a email about the process asking you for a copy of an invoice, Then you wait 24 hours. They then complain that an invoice and reciept from overclockers is not good enough so had to complain. Then another 24 hours later they say there sorry and that it is good enough and that "they missed the second attachment".

Now you get to send away your router at your own cost. They want the original box all manuals cables and everything from 2 years ago. And the turnaround time is about 2 weeks for a replacement im still waiting to see if they manage it. I mean really what sort of service is that. Good job I had a virgin dlink sitting here or I would have to go buy a new router to get online. NEVER AGAIN dlink. Time to sell up and move on to a new router.

So there you have it they don't make it easy a total inconvenience and it costs you time and money.

Netgear is far easier. They just want the router itself, so you can either put your CC details in and they will send a new one first (and charge your card if you don't return the broken one) or you can send yours in and wait for replacement.

We need logitech to make routers :p Whats cisco and linksys like for rma seen a few of there routers looked good.

So received my rma from dlink today. They have sent a newer revision of my router brand new and sealed so cant complain at that. Was sent by dhl courier as well.

So time to go swap out the old Dir 615. Missed my 1GB lan nothing worse transferring files at slow speeds. Will be interesting to see how it copes because this cheapo little 615 has been up over 12 days with not a single issue and maxing out constantly over lan and 50mb.

Will update later.
