D-Link Signal Strength

Using....

D-Link G624T Wireless Router
D-Link DWL-G510 Wireless PCI Card


I am located about 10-15m from the router and one floor up and struggle to maintain a decent connection, will max out at around 12Mbps and has a Strength of 2/5 (Low) most of the time.


Is there any obvious easy way to improve this a bit? It's getting quite annoying and I dont want to have to wire it all...

Get a better aerial for the PCI card, or even one you plug in and can move about? (I have one, so they do exist)

I'd also look at bettering the router's aerials, too.

How and where would I get a 'better' aerial?

First thing I would do is try changing the channel the router is using also try moving the router espceially if it close to something else electrical like aTV or soemthing as this will cause a reduction in the signal quality
