Hi all...
While I'm not new to PC building this is my first build that will include ARGB lighting.
I thought I was all set to buy the required wiring, one element of which is a splitter for the 5 ARGB fans I'm using.
I'm using a B450 MSI Gaming Pro Carbon Max which has 1 x 3 pin 5v ARGB header (jrainbow1) which I'm going to split to 5 ARGB fans - 3 x CoolerMaster MasterFan MF120 Halo ARGB's and the 2 ARGB fans that come with a CoolerMaster MasterCase H500 case.
Was just about to buy a CoolerMaster 5-1 splitter:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Addressable-Splitter-Cable/dp/B07Z816DQ7?th=1
then I spotted this on overclockers for half the price:
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-water-blocks-ek-d-rgb-6-way-splitter-cable-wc-9vx-ek.html
Voltage and pin layout seems right but I'm confused as to why they are calling it a D-RGB cable?
Is that just something EK have just added to confuse me or is it subtly different???
I'm planning to hook these up direct to the mobo and control using MSI mystic light.
Anyone know if this is the right splitter and if D-RGB is just another name for ARGB?
Cheers....
