D1 form fail (DVLA)

Instructions for renewing my licence (printed on the form) under heading 'Driving licence fees and where to send your application':
'Please send your application to DVLA, Swansea, using the correct postcode and enclose the correct fee (if applicable)'

How about you write the postcode on the form then, instead of making me look it up?????

It is in the booklet and there are different postcodes depending on whether it's a new application etc

It's an intelligence test and you've just failed it...

In the time it's taken you to create this pointless thread you could have looked up the postcode on the "internet" or actually looked through the booklet.

INF1D contains only one postcode in the entire booklet, and it is written under the heading:

'If you find or get your old licence back after asking us for a replacement, the licence will no longer be valid and you must return it with an explanatory note to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AB.' which doesn't apply to me. Nowhere else in the booklet is an address written.

Also what the form fails to explain is this. I am applying to renew my photo AND remove expired endorsements. I assume I only need to pay one £20 fee rather than two?

any time you send your licence back to the dvla for anything, they will automatically remove any expired endorsements. Unfortunately they've also been known to remove all your entitlements too :mad:

Heard of the entitlement problem with motorcycle group being a common one to "magically disappear" when renewing/changing details.

Saying that I filled in the form to notify them of my MS and had a letter back revoking/refusing my license due to medication. Been told it can take up to 3 months for an appeal to go through the system.

I think the motorbike thing is because that's the most common 'extra' entitlement. I have a few friends in the Army/RAF who say that some of the guys have had all their entitlements wiped off including HGV PCV and tracked vehicles.

There's a table underneath the text you've quoted with a whole list of postcodes for different departments depending on what you're applying for with the relevant fees.

So it is (quite clearly) on the form. But instead of looking on the form...to the internets
