I bought Metro 2033 in the Steam sale and it suffers horrible amounts of tearing so tried this as recommended in the Steam forum . . . wow no sign of tearing and the game feels butter smooth.
I forgot to turn it off before playing singleplayer BF3 and noticed it felt a lot smoother with none of the usual slight fps drops when the action gets very heavy. The game looks no different and I dont feel any lag either so I'm baffled. Any ideas why? As far as I know it only forces on Vsync and triple buffering (I have no clue what that is though lol)
