just installed the koolance d5 pump in my case and both D5 pumps are on setting 3, one is silent other one is making a racket. both are fixed in securely would the the noisey pump be on its last legs?

both are seprate loops, purchased both of the forums here, the silent one has always been used, the 2nd one i was saving for now its making too much noise. yep there is lots of bubbles coming through on both pumps but like i said one is virtualy silent on max and dead silent on 3, the noisey one is also vibrting a lot when ever its plugged in i can feel the vibration on the case.

wondering if i purcased a b0rked pump

How are you mounting the pumps? I ask as if you securely fix them to the case they are going to resonate with the case best to decouple the using a soggy sandwich or similar or even better with laccy bands.

Ahh didn't realise you had the bay res was very tempted to pick up one myself but with previous experience of using the xspc one I decided not too because the combination was noisy.

One thing you can try is removing the res from the case, if the noise goes away then these issue is the bay res resonating with the case, if it's not then the issue is gonna be trapped air/bad pump.

I suspect the thing is just resonating the case, those vibrations have to go somewhere.

well its defo air, put the case on its back like the review says with the front of the case facing the front of the case, got rid of lots of air bubules and the noise
and the noise whent, now it comes and goes from either pump. but when it does come it stays till case is tilted. vibrations is a lot more less now

gess getting rid of bubbles is easier with the ek res.

Glad it's not a resonating problem, good luck with getting the air out they are supposed to be a real pain to bleed properly those reses.

aye dazzard, but i knew what i was getting my self in for,

as for air coming in i thought about that but then wouldnt it leak when not switched on?

no the first pump that was first making a noise is now totaly silent just very small micro bubles in. the second one that was nice and silent at first is still making sounds not as loud and definatly air related.
