I have two D5s in series in my setup and one of them has developed a vibration that is steadily getting worse. Fault finding is rather easy as there is only one moving part. it appears that replacement impellers are harder to get hold of than rocking horse poop. Does anyone know where I can pick one up?

Are you sure it's not the bearing ball the impeller sits on? It may have come offset? If so you are screwed.

Regardless your best bet for a replacement is gonna be a dead d5 to be honest; there must be hundreds in this forum:)

If I recall correctly it's a ceramic ball on the end of the main shaft. I'll have to pull them apart to have a look. Ref the knackered pumps out there, how do I get hold of one. I don't see a for sale / wanted section. Is it just a case of sticking up a post saying D5 needed for parts?

I take it that 879 posts moaning about my knackered d5 will see me kicked. Guess I'll just have to buy a new pump or hope someone who has one spots this thread.

878 posts on the wall, 978 posts, if one were to......:)

I think I'm going to remove the series pump set up and buy a single pump top for the D5, only £25 to see if that is going to be strong enough for my water system. CPU block, single rad, GPU block, chipset block, double rad then res.

I can't imagine a D5 would struggle with that. I've got one running the same raddage but as a single and minus the chipset block and the flow is huge.
Unless you have some crazy restriction blocks you should be fine.
