I have looked around the forums but been unable to find an answer.Does the D500 have the function to be able to zoom in and out on a photo before it is taken?

Oh my god I just types "Samsung D500 zoom" into Google and... *gasp*... look what I found!
the d500 cannot zoom when using the megapixel quality camera (1280x1024)
= Contradiction.That is why i asked on here rather than using google.I thought i would ask owners of the phone which could give me a definate answer.

@jesta

Does it zoom on all other resolutions?

It doesn't zoom on the two highest resolutions, and the lower you go in resolution, the more you can zoom, I think it starts at something like x4 on 640x480 down to x7 on the lowest.

yeah basically like what he said. the two highest resolutions cannot zoom and when using the zoom button on the 640x480 the quality is shocking when you look at it on the pc!

hope that helps

You zoom by pressing up and down on the keypad. Try pressing 2 to change the resolution of the picture.

If you press * it puts the picture in a window so you don't get the 35mm camera effect of the object being further away than what it actually is showing on the full screen view.

also, you can't zoom in on downloaded photos.

I had a gentleman's photo on my phone put on via bluetooth from a PC. I couldn't zoom in on certain areas.
