As was predicted, it is the same as the D610 sensor. Slightly less DR than the D810 which does have a special modified sensor to increase shadow detail as base ISO with a bigger full well capacity. Not sure why some people got so excited at the sensor, the high ISO improvements are only in JPEG mode and are related to the more powerful Expeed processor.
This just confirms my opinion that the D610 makes an excellent value for money alternative to the D750, especially with the news that the AF sensor coverage is much closer to the D610's anyway. Doesn't stop the D750 being an excelent camera, just that it is in a crowded market surrounded by D600, D610, D700, D800, D800E, D810 and Df.
