d875pbz what graphics card should i use

hello im new to this site and building computers any way i have managed to get a motherboard intel d875pbz i bought 4 years ago for some reason running
any way it has agp x8 slot and i was wondering what the best graphics card is for this thanks and inform me if this makes no sense i am only 19 lol

AGP. Thats something i've not heard for a while.

To be fair the best place to go for a graphics card that old would probably be on the bay.

However it may just be more worthwhile to upgrade to a new motherboard / processor/ ram as the onboard video these days is better than most agp graphics cards.

hello thanks for your reply but just doing this for fun most of the stuff was around the house dont have much money i thought i would get the max ram 4gb and graphics card and it would do all right for basic computing for a year are so and then upgrade to whatever is going then

if you are still looking, i just managed to pick up a brand new XFX 6800GT (AGP) from the south american river place for my daughters PC. £35 inc p+p. The BFG 6800 unit failed last week.
Was really surprised i could still get one....

We had a 7800 GS Bliss edition back in the day

Mind you, that was horrendously bottlenecked by the 3.2GHz P4 we were running.

I believe the best AGP card was an ATI 4670 1GB. Quite expensive and difficult to find though.
