DAB volume control issue

On my DAB radio in the kitchen, I have it on the lowest volume '1' after 10pm so I don't disturb anyone. On '2' though, it's a bit too loud. The increase in volume is a fair jump.

And on the DAB radio alarm clock I was thinking of buying, you can't adjust the volume until you turn it on, so if I'd say set it to a loud volume earlier in the day, it would blare out when I turn it on before being able to turn the volume down. So I've stayed with my analogue radio/alarm since I can adjust the volume before turning it on, and I can get the smallest increases in volume if I want.

Are there DAB radios where you can adjust volume before turning it on like with analogue radios and/or which have more incremental volume control?

my pure evoke flow takes a few seconds to turn on and in that time yes you can adjust the volumn. It's a bit overkill if all you want is something to wake you up though lol

How is it overkill? These DAB radios cost enough money, I want to be able to control it as I need. I want a radio alarm that I can turn the volume down to the absolute lowest at night before turning on so I don't wake anyone, then turn it off and increase the volume ready for a loud awakening. That's exactly how I do it on my analogue. And like I also said my kitchen radio jumps from one volume to the next with no smaller graduation between. DAB is far better sound quality, but the lack of control I have over volume makes DAB a step backwards.
