Hi All
I have Ruark MR1 speakers which I connect to my laptop and watch movies, enjoy songs .Could you please advice if its worth to buy DAC USB Digital audio converter? If so please advice the cheap and best ones within 100 quid. Could you please confirm if I should also buy a woofer for the same?

Thanks
Harry

As above; no point in buying a DAC as the speakers have one built in already, as long as you are using USB.

As for a subwoofer; again, worth getting one if you want more bass. Cheap lowest budget subwoofers aren't very good though. If buying new, then you've got to start at least around £200+.

I was wondering the same thing! I have the same speakers and the audio quality wasn't as good as it should have been. I thought I needed a DAC converter. After reading this thread I decided to check the software side of things. Turns out I was converting some of the files the wrong way. The problem was not in the hardware at all!
