Hi I am looking for a DAC/AMP for use at work.

My main setup at Home is an ASUS Xonar Essence STX internal soundcard connected to a CAMBRIDGE AUDIO TOPAZ SR10 powering a pair of Dali Zensors 3 with 1 Technics 1200 turntable attached.

I'm going to be using the DAC/AMP mainly for general listening but also occasionally for music production when I am at work or using my laptop at other places (so I don't have to constantly be installing audio interface drivers and getting everything set up every time).

Would anyone be able to recommend a portable DAC/AMP that has ASIO support as well?

thanks in advance

What about an USB audio interface? Steinberg UR22 for example, the headphone amp won't be great but it will cater for your needs and provide ASIO support. Focusrite scarlett 2i2 is another option which apparently has a very loud headphone amp that provides a clean signal according to Focusrite

I was trying to stay away from audio interfaces if I'm honest but that may be the winning ticket hope it doesnt blow anyones speakers through the headphone socket

the Essence one hass balanced and un balanced speaker outputs on it which could pass to the amp the volume controls are separate of eachother too

the Essence STU has unbalanced speaker with a volume control too.

both do bit perfect ASIO using the STU right now.
