Hi Guys,

My dad had a heart attack a few weeks ago, hes only 46 and has never really looked after himself through drugs etc when he was younger. hes not fat hes just a normal guy but is currently out of work and on a budget.

This has opened his eyes and a lot of damage to his heart has been done, so he is trying to eat healthy on a budget but i can understand its quite hard.

have you any suggestions please? he doesnt dislike anything other than sweetcorn :)

many thanks

Ross

No curries would be a good start, no kebabs, in fact no foreign food.

Stick to English food, hope he improves & all the best to you both

The first thing that jumps to mind is porridge. Most important meal of the day breakfast and can even be made with water though nicer made with some form of milk.
