My old man accidently quick formatted my HDD when trying to install windows (wrong drive) so is there any easy way to get my data back?

if your trying to recover files/pics etc try 'getbackdata for NTFS' (They do a FAT version as well) Download the free trail and see if it'll recover what you need. Unfortunatly I think you have to buy it.

There's another program called 'recover my files' which is very good for recovery. If it was just a quick format on a spare drive then you should be able to pretty much retrieve all of them. Just don't install or move anything to that drive until your files are recovered. Obviously if you do you will overwrite some of them

yah i have used get data back in the past, its very good and i was planning to use that But thought there may be an easy way to rebuild the data table as opposed to recover each file.

thanks for the help
