My dads PSU blew today so hes in need of a replacement but has only authorised me to spend £50

I was looking at this :

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-007-TG

It will be powering

E2160
2Gb RAM
Gigabyte P31 mobo
8600GT
2x SATA HDD
DVDRW

I know its only 430w but its a quality PSU so im assuming it will be fine. Only slight worry is hes looking to get a better GFX card, maybe an 8800GT 512Mb or a 9600GT when there out.

So will it be ok?

That PSU would easily be capable and that includes if the graphics card is changed. You could also look to the Corsair VX 450w, the Akasa Paxpower 500w or the OCZ StealthXStream 500w.

Hadnt noticed the Corsair, would it only having a single 12v rail affect it much?

It is unlikely to since even the higher end Corsairs in the HX series appear to be essentially single rail as well or at least if multi-rail there is nothing appearing to separate the rails - JonnyGuru review of the 620w and another from the same source on the VX 550w
