Hi there, I'm running Vista x64 and seem to be having a few issues with Daemon tools, so I thought I would see if there are any good alternatives? What are you using? Needs to be 64bit compat.

Thanks

depending on what you're using Daemon for ;) Alcohol 120% does a similar job but not sure if there's a 64 bit version. I use imgburn for cd-writing purposes

another vote for virtual clone drive, it's awesome

daemon tools is way too clunky for me, has an awkward way of installing, and they rely on a 3rd party to make their virtual driver!

plus anyone that bundles spyware with installs should be shot

I've been using daemon for year and just got it running with vista 64 and not had any probs but i'll give virtual clone drive a go see what its like:)

I do believe the latest Daemon Tools Lite, is compatible with Windows-7 (x64bit), and it's free software.

If not, you can try UltraISO, which definitely works with W-7 (x64bit) but it's not free software.

I tested UltraISO on a W-7 (64bit) partition with no problems.

Trying to get Command & Conquered Generals to work with no cd but I need to use either Alcohol 120% or Daemon tools but they both don't work. I have tried PowerISO, UltraISO and virtual clone drive but they don't seem to good with mds and mdf images
