I'm getting a PITA SPTD 1.60 issue from Daemon Tools, along with 'kernel debugger must be deactivated'. Taken form the DT forums:

OS upgrade screws SPTD configuration.
Delete Daemon Tools installation folder, disable SPTD in registry, i.e. open regedit, go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\sptd
and change Start to 4, then reboot.
After reboot enable all permissions of sptd/cfg key, then delete entire sptd key, and reboot again.
Now re-install.

I'm not sure about doing the bolded bit. Am I enabling permission under regedit, or under explorer? Am I deleting the entire sptd directory in regedit, or do I llok at it a different way? Any help appreciated.

I was using that before, it opened the .mdf file fine but the setup probram wouldn't run. Guess it may have been a corrupted copy, but I couldn't find any other torrents for Sacred 2 - seems to be quite undercovered. There's a Reloaded torrent there somewhere, but it's like 20Gb, half the allowance BT grants on their 'unlimited' (jokes) package, and there's some good Steam deals on at the moment, so I'm trying not to overuse the bandwidth I've finally sorted after 3 months of shouting at people.

Edit: My hardcopy Sacred 2 generated corruption in the install path, about 80% in the entire system cuts out. I'm not sure what the rules are involving asking for help to pirate stuff, but just wanted to clarify that it's not what I'm doing.

As you'd expect, can't talk about piracy.
