Daft case question

Checked the fans, I couldn't feel any coming out the top, that's what made me check. I'm tempted to run with no filters to see what happens as they're a bit of a pita to clean. I normally just vac the outside, and occasionally the inside, but I just assumed the filters would get cleaned from me vaccine the outside.

Yeah I wouldn't bother with the filters - I don't run any filters on my PC and only clean it once a year. Check my build on my sig to see the lack of dust :)

You shouldn't need to change that case out for airflow / temp reasons. It's still going to be very good, especially if you have the big side fan pushing air into the GPU, a genuinely good feature that many cases have lost because of glass panels.

Are your fans the right way facing the right direction? They probably are, but good to check!

Yeah, I mentioned above that his case was one of the best for GPU airflow back in the day and is still a good performer. His side panel dust intake filter was completely blocked with dust so I'm guessing that was the main cause of the heat build-up.

Hoping the OP reports back with positive results :)

Have to say I've now removed all filters, and after a second application of thermal paste, I can run much cooler now. Its idling at high 20s and hard-core gaming puts it at low 80s (with fans running at 40%). I think there were a combination of factors such as clogged filters and o don't think the heatsink for the gpu was properly seated when I got it.
Fan wise I've got a 200 on the front, 230 on the side as in, 200 on top and 140 on rear for out.

Glad to see you have finally sorted it out :)

Just make sure you give the inside of the case a good clean at least once a year!
