OK years ago I bought 2 retail copies of Win 7 Home premium to upgrade from OEM Vista.
One is on my current PC, no intentions to change.
Other is on an old laptop on it's last legs. I want to use this copy of Win 7 on a new machine I'm building. I'm not transferring hard drives or software over just a new install on a new machine.
I have the boxes with activation keys. I can find the product ID in the system folder of control panel, how do I work out which activation key goes with which product ID.
Daft noob question, but its got me stumped.
Have pity and help me.
