I can't help coming across DM stories each day because they are posted on every bloody forum and blog. I'm sure it must get the most traffic of all UK news sites sadly.

But if everyone claims the daily mail is so right wing why are the constantly trying to smear the Republican party, the "Tea party" and Americans in general? Is it just because the UK is so left-wing that the UK right is equivalent to the American LEFT?

They draw you in with something actually interesting like this:
