Daisy chaining a lot of fans, safe enough?

i have a new case coming tomorrow, and im going to be using 9 fans..i have two fan/RGB hubs that support 8 fans / rgb on each controller..

can i use both controllers with say.. 4/5 fans on each, then from the controllers connect the system fan header together and therefore using just one header splitting both controllers?

i assume that would be safe as the controllers are each powered by SATA connection anyway?

sorry about the explanation but its had to describe what i want to do.
 
Thanks guys. I have done some daisy chaining on them and all working fine.

As they are powered by SATA, the power draw is coming from there.
