dam bf2 problems - wont start

Hmmm tried to paly a few rounds of bf2 and it wont start up. logo comes up screen goes blank, disk drive spins then back to desktop. Uninstalled then started from scratch and same problems worked fine yesterday and nothings been changed since.
anyone any ideas??

ununstalling leaves bits behind which will cause the same probs so you have to search/ all files & folders & type BF2 & delete whats remains with the exception of' My documents 'where you will have downloaded the patches etc.

BF2 was doing this on my computer. The only way i could get it to work was to uninstall my video drivers completely, ie uninstall via Control Panel, delete all the ATI files in C:\Windows\System 32, run regcleaner to delete all the registry references, reboot and install the lastest drivers.
