Pi**ed Right put like 35 hours into the Game so far. it's put me off Playing it now

anyone know of a way round it ?? other then geting hold of a Copy of the normal
Version of the Game ???

So, how does one become a vampire in Oblivion? You see, I recently bought the game and don't want to be stuck as something which is not desirable or inhibits my ability to complete the game. I also happen to only have one save - something which I will now stop doing as a result of this. But I'm just curious as to how I can avoid this happening to me!

you'll get quests in which you have to kill vampires in caves, if you get bitten you'll catch vampirism i think its called, you have a period of time to get the cure to stop it from affecting you.

just makes sure you make multiple saves :D saves being stuck from a bug

But if I don't get the cure on time in the PS3 version then there is no cure right? BUT, if I do get the cure in time, can I stop the incurable problem from happening? or are you damned either way with the PS3 version?

Thing that I cannot understand is: how hard can it be for Bethesda to fix this? Not that hard I would have thought. I've actually just emailed Bethesda to ask them if they're working on a fix. Anyway, I'm glad I found out about this issue before I contracted vampirisim.

You'll see a message on the screen when you've started - it will say you've contracted porphyritic haemophilia or something medical like that. You then have three days/nights to go to a chapel and pray at the Shrine of the Nine. If you do, you'll be cured and never have to worry about this bug.

Thx for the Reply chaps, ye i know it's a Dam pain. Whappers let me know what they Said mate

Vampirism is an arse, on the PC you can enter a code into the command console to get rid of it instantly, though I doubt thats possible on the PS3. If you feed off people it allows you go out into sunlight etc again, for a bit, and people talk you again but for some reason you lose your strength/resistance characteristics and your infamy increases with every kill, so it basically sucks. Next time you catch porphyric hemophilia just use a cure disease potion or as mentioned prey at an alter of nine as if you sleep after 3 days you will wake up a vampire.

When I played this, everytime I knew I needed to sleep - I went to a church and preyed, meaning that all diseases etc were removed. I never contracted the vampirism thing obviously because it got removed before I slept.

That's the trick but some folks won't be aware that the "you have contracted porphyritic haemophilia" will turn you into a vampire if you don't cure yourself.
