My AC7 has a damaged pin on one of the feet that goes through the board, I was wondering if I could just bolt it onto the board instead? Has anyone done this or want to give me any tips on doing so, going to have a dig around to find some screws that'll fit the job.

Oh the case is a Thermaltake Dream.

PS. 775 HSF connecting design is utterly ****.

I had this happen to mine too, ended up managing to get it in eventually, was just a lot harder.

Just keep trying tbh, I almost threw mine at the wall I got so angry with it :(

You know the kinda plastic sleeve the black part slides through when you apply pressure, its basically broken away, so one leg wont be used in short.

4x 3M 20mm bolts and nuts - just ask your local hardware store for some (under a £1 the lot) I'd get/make some card washers too. or go the whole hog and use a s775 backplate (LGA775 RM - bolts are inc)

Yeah, just make sure you twist it the right way around, so the black section "slides" up and down the white plastic and then just force the two apart. Try to wear gloves though because it will hurt when you slam you fingers into the aluminium ridges of the cooler.

The black section Should pop off upwards from the white part.
