Damaged LCD screen advice

I shot the screen of my sisters 32" Panasonic LCD HDTV by mistake with a BB gun.

The TV works fine still, but it has left a mark about the size of a 1p coin and is very noticeable against dark backgrounds. There appears to be no damage to the front of the screen but there is a star shaped shatter mark which looks to be on the other side of the screen inside the TV.

Excuse the crap picture taken with my Blackberry. This is a close up and on a dark background which makes it look much worse of course.

Is this fixable?

WOw. Its an IPS pannel.

I feel sorry for you man

This is the LCD pannel you want:
AX080C002B Rev 1a IPS Alpha Technology Europe (is 32")

Problem is... No one is selling it, and i know why.. its so damn expensive

Well looks as though it's time to get a new TV...currently bidding on one on the bay..

I'm then gonna try anf fix the damaged one and sell that. Does it have to be that screen 'AX080C002B Rev 1a IPS Alpha Technology Europe' or can i replace it with a cheaper generic one?

Yea has to be that one.

Thing is mate, are you replaceing hers with a IPS TV or a Bog standard one?

the one she had was very expensive when it was released.

Really? It was 399.99 delivered on a well known site 3 years ago.. Do a google search on the model, it's the first match on my search.

Currently bidding on this one: Panasonic TX-32LXD70 to replace hers.

Also think i've found somewhere that stocks the AX080C002B Rev 1a IPS Alpha Technology Europe panel, so have just e-mailed them to see how much this will be.

So, i bought this on the bay for £250 to replace my sisters: Panasonic TX-32LXD70. Boxed like new. According to reviews i've read this is a better TV anyway.

I'm now gonna try and recover some money by selling hers, the one i damaged.

Very expensive accident!
