hi all

my problem started last week when i restarted my pc after installing new TV card drivers.

the pc started to boot up as usual to a certain point then reboot it did this about 3/4 times before i unplugged it after leaving it off for a few minutes plugged it back in and it started up normaly with no problems at all and ran fine untill i restarted

then nothing well upon inserting the kettle lead the psu fan spins up, cpu fan spins up power led on, hdd activity led on no display on monitor 7/8 seconds later it shuts off psu buzzes a little but the fan is off

first thought was ohh crap.

so i totaly stripped the pc down to nothing and rebuilt still the same thing happend
tryed the psu out of my wifes pc still the same (using said psu in this pc)
tested all components in wifes pc and are all still in and running fine appart from P4 northwood as she runs an amd cpu

had the motherboard and psu on the kitchen table with just the cpu+fan gfx card and 1 stick of ram installed and still the same take the ram out and i get one long bleep untill it shuts down as usual with cpu out i still get the same

i cant test my motherboard or cpu individualy as i know no one with socket 478
