Damaged my MBP

Bit of a mini rant really.
Brand new MBP (i7, 16GB, 512GB SSD). Only had it a month, and i dropped my iphone8 which sits in a very round cornered case from about 8" and its dented the MBP chassis to the left of the touch pad.
doesn't affect the use in any, but my god how can they make something so damn pansy-like and delicate.
Seriously, it was a very minor drop from less than a foot. Hate to think what would have happened if it was a sharp cornered case.

I couldn't contemplate spending that much money without getting AppleCare which covers you for 2 accidental damage incidents, IIRC.

EDIT: No it doesn't. Only in the USA. Or for iPhones/iPads/iPods in the UK. Damn.

You need Applecare+ for accidental damage. AppleCare is the term for their standard warranty coverage now.

I marked my new iPhone SE when i dropped it. Didn’t expect any marks.

Same with my MBA, it was knocked so lightly and got a nice small dent. Meanwhile my work laptop which looks cheap gets thrown around and not one mark
