Damaged Type-R - thanks idiot!

Just wanted to rant a bit....
My EP3 Type-R has only been out of the bodyshop for three months after some tool drove into the back of it while I was sitting in traffic....

Now while parked in Brighton yesterday this happened...

Parked on the street pointing nose downhill with a camper van behind me. Come back and find camper van gone....leaving my car with a 10p sized dent in my tailgate and the plastic tailgate handle damaged and the Honda badge cracked. Worse, the pressure on the handle has pushed in the metal around the handle on on side.

No note left of course...:mad:

Looks like the camper idiot started up and rolled back onto my car.

Not sure whether to claim this on insurance or not - will get a quote next week. Anyone know a trustworthy bodyshop in the Crawley/Horsham area?

Sorry for the rant...;)
 
Thats bad luck mate. TBH if i owned a car like a CTR id wanna part it somewhere where its less chance of being hit by something. specially not next to a camper van lol. Personally id take it to a bodyshop and getting it fixed that way.
 
I've got a list knocking around of reputable bodyshops around brighton, but its at home :(

I'll let you know when I get in, however, Reflections near Worthing Station, I remember comes highly regarded, the chap in there does a lot of show cars and I've had a talk with him and he seems pretty sound.

Not too bad on pricing either.

I'll find you more info when I get in tonight.
 
Bad luck mate. My EP3 has picked up a few scratches since I got it.

I once came back to find a chavved 106 had gently rolled into it. No damage however. But seeing as they hadn't used any method of securing the car I gave it a helping shove down the quiet road I had parked on.
 
Thanks for the sympathy guys - had to park where I was as I was going to a job and had to carry a load of stuff.

My car got reversed into today. Very annoying, but luckily the guy came and found me to let me know.

Sorting it through insurance, but as per usual they are already trying to wriggle out of it.

Why would they do that after putting effort into finding you and admitting fault :confused:
