Just tried booting up my old PC, ive not fired it up for around 2-3months, connected everything as per using a european kettle lead http://www.more-shop.co.uk/images/EUpccablestraight.png ive used this lead many times before, only difference this time was I used a differant shaver plug adaptor. Anyway pressed power-nothing. Had a haunt around again and found a proper power lead just tried that and.....what I think was a orange kinda light(possibly fire) at the rear of the PSU, and then pressed power again, and realised that the PSU has blown and then smelt the awful burnt out smell :(

Please dont tell me, the cause could have been that shaver adaptor? :(

Would it have screwed anything else up? :(

I doubt it was the lead. Maybe something in the PSU that shorted it, who can say? If it's a decent quality PSU the rest should be OK. Been there several times.
